In 2019, John became the first Brit to dive to the deepest place on earth, Challenger Deep, alongside Patrick Lahey, co-founder and president of Triton Submarines. They dove in a submersible designed and engineered by Dark Ocean, the Triton 36000/2, named 'Limiting Factor' by its owner, Victor Vescovo.
John's extensive portfolio includes submersibles produced by MSubs, James Fisher Defence and Triton Submarines. He has been the principal designer on vehicles produced to Lloyds Register, ABS and DNV.
John's designs are known for their elegant simplicity, combining form with function to create unique, novel solutions.

Tom Blades is widely acknowledged to be one of the most versatile and creative electrical engineers in the industry.
Tom's control and navigation software is used on submarine rescue vehicles, autonomous submersibles, swimmer delivery vehicles and private submersibles. His electrical system designs are implemented on over twenty vehicles.
Tom's first-principals approach to design combined with his extensive in-field experience results in designs famed for their robust practicality and cutting edge innovation.
